News Bell Media Koncept, publisher of News Bell Magazine, has officially made its debut in Nigeria’s media industry, unveiling two major media products at a colourful event in Kaduna.
The unveiling marked a significant milestone for the emerging media organisation, which introduced its flagship quarterly news magazine alongside Feet on Broadways, a book authored by the organisation’s Editor-in-Chief, Emmanuel Saiza.
The two publications were presented as strategic investments in journalism, literature and public enlightenment, with the book reviewer and other commentators describing the literary work as a timely contribution to the discourse on contemporary social vices.
The event featured a keynote address by Col. Victor Kasai Tagwoi (Rtd), who spoke on the theme: “Reporting the Middle-Belt, Building Viral Media: News Bell for Today, and the Morrow.”
Tagwoi highlighted what he described as years of underreporting and misrepresentation of the Middle-Belt region, stressing the need for stronger media platforms capable of telling the region’s stories accurately and responsibly.
He emphasised the importance of developing viral but credible media that can project the realities, achievements, challenges and aspirations of communities across the Middle-Belt.
According to him, effective journalism must go beyond sensationalism to promote fair, objective and responsible reporting while preserving the dignity and identity of the people being reported.
The debut of News Bell Magazine represents an ambitious step towards creating a platform dedicated to amplifying voices and documenting stories that matter to communities across the region.
The quarterly publication is expected to focus on a broad range of issues, including governance, community development, agriculture, education, security, business, youth, women, culture, technology, sports and other matters shaping society.
Among the distinguished personalities who attended the event were Prof. Enoch Oyedele FHSN, Elder Yusuf Solomon Danbaki, Prince Musa Tanko, Engr (Dr) Simon Nuhu Yashim, Mr Stephen Shedrach, and Rev. (Dr) Baide Bodam, among other guests.
Several guests commended the author and publisher for what they described as a bold investment in literature and media development.
They also described Emmanuel Saiza as diligent, committed to excellence and passionate about social justice, expressing optimism that his literary and media initiatives would contribute to shaping public understanding of contemporary realities.
With the launch of Feet on Broadways and News Bell Magazine, News Bell Media Koncept has signalled its intention to establish a distinctive voice in the Nigerian media space, one committed to credible storytelling, responsible journalism and the preservation of the identity and dignity of the people it serves.
