GOVERNOR UBA SANI DISTRIBUTES OVER ₦300 MILLION IN COMPENSATION FOR MILLENNIUM CITY ROAD EXPANSION

The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has officially presented compensation cheques totaling over ₦300 million to residents affected by the ongoing road expansion project within Millennium City in Chikun Local Government Area.
The beneficiaries were drawn from several communities in Millennium City, including Danbushiya, Keke A, Keke B, Keke Makera, Keke Mai Jama’a, Sabon Gero, and Dan Honu 2.
The compensation exercise represents a major milestone in Governor Uba Sani’s Rural and Semi-Urban Transformation Agenda. By settling compensation claims for approximately 300 households, the administration has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that development and infrastructure projects are carried out with fairness and consideration for the welfare of citizens.
The payment of compensation is expected to pave the way for the speedy completion of the road expansion project, which will significantly improve transportation, enhance connectivity, and stimulate economic activities within Millennium City and surrounding communities.
Governor Uba Sani was accompanied during the presentation by the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, the Minister of Environment, Balarabe Abbas Lawal, and other top government officials.
Residents and stakeholders have commended the Governor’s people-oriented approach, describing the compensation payment as a demonstration of responsible leadership and inclusive development.
