The Giwa Progressives Forum has decorated Engr (Dr) Simon Nuhu Yashim as its Patron, recognising his leadership, experience, and commitment to progressive political mobilisation.
The decoration ceremony, held in Kaduna on Wednesday, September 12, was led by the forum’s Chairman, Mr Fidelix Pius Waziri, who presented the distinguished engineer and political mobiliser with a certificate of recognition.
The event marked the formal commencement of Engr Yashim’s responsibilities as the forum’s State Patron.
Responding to the honour, Engr (Dr) Simon Nuhu Yashim, who is also the State Chairman of the Uba Salama Mobilization Forum and Chairman, Ex-Officio, of Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTiFN), assured the forum of his commitment to advancing the welfare and interests of its members.
He urged members to remain loyal to the forum’s leadership and work collectively towards achieving its objectives.
The new Patron also charged the leadership to uphold prudence, fairness, and accountability in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He emphasised the importance of responsible leadership and unity in building a stronger and more effective political organisation.
Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of Giwa Progressives Forum, Mr Fidelix Pius Waziri, said the organisation was established to mobilise the electorate ahead of the forthcoming general election.
He noted that the forum’s activities are geared towards strengthening grassroots participation and advancing its political objectives.
The chairman’s remarks underscored the forum’s commitment to building a united and progressive political structure.
The decoration of Engr Yashim as Patron signals a new chapter in the forum’s leadership and mobilisation efforts, as it positions itself for greater engagement with members and the electorate.
