The Chairman of Uba Salama Mobilization, Engr (Dr) Simon Nuhu Yashim, has commended the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator (Dr) Uba Sani, for what he described as the administration’s unwavering commitment to improving the welfare and living conditions of Kaduna residents through impactful and people-oriented projects.
Yashim made the commendation following the groundbreaking ceremony for the erosion control project in Rigasa, Igabi Local Government Area, describing the intervention as a significant step towards tackling environmental challenges and protecting vulnerable communities.
According to him, the project is more than an infrastructure initiative; it is a strategic investment in the safety and well-being of the people. He noted that the erosion control measures will help prevent further land degradation, reduce flooding risks, protect homes and public infrastructure, and create a safer environment for residents of Rigasa and neighbouring communities.
He further stated that the project reflects Governor Uba Sani’s responsive leadership style and his determination to address long-standing environmental concerns affecting communities across Kaduna State.
Projects such as this demonstrate a government that listens to the needs of its people and responds with practical solutions, Yashim said, adding that the intervention will not only safeguard lives and property but also contribute to sustainable development and improve the quality of life of residents.
The Uba Salama Mobilization Chairman called on community members to support the successful implementation of the project by cooperating with contractors and ensuring that the facilities are protected from vandalism and misuse.
He also urged citizens to continue supporting the administration of Governor Uba Sani as it rolls out more developmental and people-centred projects across the state.
Yashim reaffirmed the commitment of Uba Salama Mobilization to supporting policies and programmes that promote development, environmental sustainability, and the overall well-being of the people of Kaduna State.
